Group Description:
The Post TBI/CTE, Alzheimer’s, and Dementia Family Dynamics Support Group focuses on providing a safe and compassionate space for those dealing with the negative effects these diseases can have on interpersonal dynamics and relationships. Our goal is to help participants through sharing coping mechanisms and providing resources to get you through immediate crises, with the ultimate aim of creating more positive environments for all parties involved. The facilitators have done research in order to understand these diseases on multiple levels. We can provide advice on how to deal with issues such as caregiver burnout, knowing when and how to ask for help, and ways to cope with the uncertainty that comes with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and Post TBI/CTE patients. Ultimately, our support groups seek to facilitate open and honest conversation to make this daunting experience a bit easier for you and your loved ones. For anyone 18 years or older. This group is free and confidential.
